Moore selected as ERDC budget officer

Jacqueline Moore photo 21 Mar 05 -- Vicksburg, MS -- Jacqueline Moore was recently promoted to the position of budget officer for the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Miss.

In this position, Moore serves as the budget division chief for the ERDC Resource Management Directorate and is responsible for the planning, supervision and direction of 13 budget analysts at four geographical sites.

Moore will be directly involved in the formulation and execution analysis of the ERDC's direct and reimbursable research budget. She is responsible for consolidating, coordinating and submitting budgets for military, civil and reimbursable programs in compliance with Army and Corps of Engineers guidance. She will serve as the ERDC point of contact for funding and allotments and will provide monthly analysis and interpretation of data to identify trends to ERDC management. 

The ERDC is the premier research and development facility for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It consists of seven laboratories at four geographical sites, with over 2,000 employees, $1.2 billion in facilities, and an annual research program approaching $700 million. It conducts research in both military and civil works mission areas for the Department of Defense and the nation.

Prior to her current position, Moore served as a senior budget analyst at the ERDC Vicksburg site and was recently awarded the overall Army award for budgeting at the "below MACOM" (major command) level. 

Moore is a graduate of Warren Central High School and is currently enrolled at Hinds Community College, where she is working toward a degree in business administration. She has worked for the ERDC for 26 years, all in the Resource Management Division.
