ERDC participates in 2008 Warfighter Conference

Jeff Williamson, Rhonda Taylor, and Dr. Larry Lynch20 Jun 08 -- Vicksburg, Miss. -- Each June, the 412th Engineer Command hosts its annual Warfighter Conference to discuss upcoming mission requirements and training opportunities, and to receive briefings on relevant issues from the major commands it supports.  The conference is attended by more than 200 military personnel from around the world.

This year, conference organizers added a new feature by inviting industry and government partners to exhibit their products and demonstrate areas of expertise to conference attendees.  They also opened the exhibits to the public June 7, in an effort to inform the community about important work being done in the Vicksburg area to support the warfighter.

ERDC participated in the event by exhibiting several technologies developed to aid the Soldier in the Global War on Terrorism.

ERDC subject matter experts (SMEs) were on hand to provide demonstrations on TeleEngineering Communications Equipment – Deployable, the Automated Route Reconnaissance Kit, the Modular Protective System, Buckeye, and GeoPDF.

SMEs supporting the conference included Rhonda Taylor, Jeff Williamson, Jill Jackson, Capt. Angel Rosada-Padilla, Jerry Rushing, Jason Roth, Ryan Stinson, Dr. Larry Lynch, and Debbie Quimby.  In addition, Jeff Powell and Bryan Register assisted at the conference by providing video teleconference support.
