Title:  Developing the National Assessment of Adult Literacy: Recommendations from Stakeholders
Description: NCES is planning a National Assessment of Adult Literacy, to be conducted in 2002. This survey will determine the status of adult literacy in the United States and will serve as a follow-up to the 1992 National Adult Literacy Survey. To obtain input on the content of the survey and issues related to the survey development, NCES convened three discussion groups of literacy researchers, users of the 1992 survey, potential users of the 2002 survey and other stakeholders. This report presents summaries of the discussions.
