P&P ONLINE CATALOG - ABDUL-HAMID II COLLECTION
How to Order CopiesNote: Users may download images themselves or can order copies through the Library of Congress Photoduplication Service. Obtaining Black & White Photographic Copies
Obtaining Color Photographic CopiesPhotographs in the Abdul Hamid II Collection were made in black-and-white, but the original prints exhibit varying tonality. If the tonality of the original print is desired, the item must be photographed in color. Because of the fragile nature of the originals, access is limited. Requests for photography for scholarly purposes will be considered. Scholars are welcome to apply for access by writing to the Chief of the Prints and Photographs Division.
Obtaining Copies from Digital Files through the Photoduplication ServiceDigital copies have, for the most part, been made from black-and-white copy negatives, not from the original photographic prints.
The Photoduplication Service accepts orders by mail, fax (202-707-1771) and email (photoduplication@loc.gov). The Photoduplication Service estimates that it takes 3-6 weeks to complete an order. See the Photoduplication Service web site (http://lcweb.loc.gov/preserv/pds/photo.html) for further information and order forms, or contact the Photoduplication Service (telephone: 202-707-5640; email: photoduplication@loc.gov).
