Meeting the Habitat Requirements of Cavity-dependent Wildlife

Canada

Received US$6500 in 1999

The boreal mixedwood forest is one of North America's most diverse ecosystems. This project will study how species that exploit cavities and live in dead trees are affected by hardwood forestry. It includes the publication of a report and the first version of a web site with information on the study as well as on forest management, in Manitoba and elsewhere.
