This site explains how the Corps of
Engineers may help resolve water resource problems and provide technical
assistance to states, counties and cities. Click on Projects the Corps
Can Build at right to see how projects can be cost-shared under our
Continuing Authorities Program.
This site gives descriptions of three
of the Corps' most effective and efficient small project programs.

Continuing Authorities Program
-
Flood Plain Management

-
Planning Assistance to
States
We explain what Criteria must be met
and the Project Process that must be followed. You will find
instructions on how to request assistance.
The material displays the name of a
program followed by the name of the congressional legislation or act
Congress passed and the President signed. An example is: Modifications
for Improvements of the Environment (Section 1135). Congress provides
the Corps the authority (permission) and then appropriates funding for
Corps projects. For more information, call Customer
Relationship Manager Carol Warren at (615)736-5626.
