WASHINGTON, May 10, 2001 – "AFIS On Assignment" is a weekly publication of the American Forces Information Service. Produced each Friday, the publication is a preview of stories being released by the American Forces Press Service and the American Forces Radio and Television Service. It also contains highlights of DoD imagery. "AFIS On Assignment" for the week of May 14 - 20, 2001, is now available on the Web at http://onassignment.afis.osd.mil.
