WASHINGTON, Jan. 6, 1999 The Air Force Thunderbirds air demonstration squadron will perform more than 70 shows at more than 40 locations this year in the United States, Canada and Europe.
The Thunderbirds schedule begins March 20 at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., and ends Nov. 19 at Nellis AFB, Nev. The team flies specially configured F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft in a mix of formation flying and solo routines. The entire show, including ground and air routines, runs about 75 minutes.
