Information Centers

Observe IC programs to insure that effective strategies such as Resource Based Learning, Big 6 and technology integration are being implemented
Assist district offices in planning and organizing district and cluster information specialist meetings
Provide basic end user training in Library World (LW) through site visits or phone assistance with new information specialists
Disseminate updated versions of LW with installation details
Monitor IC collection age statistics and provide LW technical analysis procedure assistance
Publish websites, bibliographies and print sources for curricular area collection development in Information Centers
Manage the Internet blocking and unblocking requests
Disseminate Internet safety materials
Assist in providing online resources for staff and student use
Manage the Area Textbook Professional Library
Provide colleagues with resource availability information
Participate in Information Technology and information literacy discussions and meetings
Monitor data surveys to include IC statistical data
