How do I get to Sagamore Hill?

Sagamore Hill NHS is only minutes from several major roadways. To read detailed directions, click here.

How much will it cost to visit?

The only charge visitors pay during their time at Sagamore Hill NHS is the $5 fee to take a tour of President Roosevelt's home. (To read more about fees, click here.) The rest of your experience at Sagamore Hill is completely free. Ranger guided walks, visits to the Roosevelt Museum at Old Orchard, Junior Ranger Activities, and hikes down the nature trail to Cold Spring Harbor are all offered free of charge.

Do you take reservations?

For organized groups of 15 persons or more (such as school groups, senior outings, and tour groups) we accept reservations. For more information on how you can reserve a time, click here.

What is your operating schedule?

During most of the year, from early Fall to late Spring, Sagamore Hill NHS is open to visitors from Wednesday through Sunday each week (closed Mondays & Tuesdays). During the Summer (June, July & August) we are open every day.

What are your hours?

The Sagamore Hill Visitor Center opens at 9am each morning the site is operational. We offer tours of the Roosevelt home each hour (on the hour) from 10am to 4pm. The other buildings are open for visitation during these hours as well.
