Navigation Lock Operational Notices

Public Notice OD-ST-08-16 has been issued detailing the annual maintenance closure of Bonneville, The Dalles and John Day from 0600 hrs on 7 March 2009 through 2359 hrs on 21 March 2009.

Public Notice OD-ST-08-11 has been issued to alert recreation vessels desiring lockage at The Dalles that the upstream intercom system is out of service and recreational vessel operators will need to communicate with the lockmaster via marine radio or telephone until the intercom system is repaired.

Public Notice OD-ST-08-07 has been issued concerning the indefinite closure of the Willamette Falls Navigation Locks.

Recreational Vessel Lockage Schedules

A Recreational Vessel Lockage Schedule is in effect and sets the times when recreational vessel lockages will be performed. There is a summer and a winter schedule, please be sure to reference the applicable schedule. Commercial vessels also need to be aware of the recreational vessel schedule because it impacts commercial lockages.

The Winter Recreational Vessel Lockage Schedule is in effect from 16 September 2008 through 14 May 2009. Public Notice OD-ST-08-10 has been issued detailing the winter schedule. Winter recreational vessel lockages will be performed on demand, but only during daylight hours.

The Summer Recreational Vessel Lockage Schedule is in effect from 15 May 2008 through 15 September 2008. Public Notice OD-ST-08-06 has been issued detailing the summer schedule.
