Pine Hill Preserve Environmental Assessment Available for Review

An environmental assessment for the Pine Hill Preserve management plan draft is available for public review and comment through Feb 11.

The EA evaluates a proposal to implement management tasks at the 4,052-acre preserve in western El Dorado County.

“The mission of the preserve is to conserve in perpetuity the rare plant species and plant communities of the western EDC gabbro soil formation,” said Graciela Hinshaw, preserve manager for the Bureau of Land Management.

The EA and attachments, including the plan draft, are posted at the BLM Folsom Field Office’s website (www.blm.gov/ca/folsom) under Information, NEPA. Written comments should be addressed to Graciela Hinshaw, Pine Hill Preserve Manager, 63 Natoma Street, Folsom, Calif. 95630.  E-mail comments may be sent to Graciela_Hinshaw@.blm.gov.

For more information, contact Hinsaw at (916) 985-4474.
