News ReleaseFor Release: February 13, 2008 BLM Advisory Council Plans Clear Creek TourThe Bureau of Land Management’s Central California Resource Advisory Council will tour the Clear Creek Management Area on March 15. “The Clear Creek Management Area comprises 63,000 acres of BLM public lands in southern San Benito and western Fresno counties,” said Rick Cooper, BLM Hollister Field Office manager. “Varied uses in the management area will be viewed on the tour.” Members of the public are welcome to attend the tour, but must provide their own transportation and lunch. Those who wish to attend the tour should meet at the Oak Flat Campground, located on Clear Creek Road off Coalinga-Los Gatos Road, at 10 a.m. The tour should conclude at about 4 p.m. The event may be postponed to a later date if there is inclement weather. To confirm the tour will take place as planned, call the BLM Hollister Field Office at (831) 630-5000.
