How to do Business With Us

Three steps to doing business with the US Army Corps of Engineers:

Register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. See description below. It is MANDATORY that all vendors be registered under the CCR program.

Find information on available opportunities through the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. https://www.fbo.gov/

Complete the appropriate forms stated in or provided in the synopsis or solicitation and return them to the Chief, Contracting Division of the office in which you are interested.

Finding information about doing business with the Corps

Visit the website for the division, district, center or laboratory with which you desire to do business in order to learn about the missions and the types of services/supplies each procures.

If you are a small or small disadvantaged business, call, write or visit the Corps of Engineers, Deputy for Small Business in the location of interest to you to discuss your firm's capabilities, interest and capacities to perform.

Find business opportunities as listed below.

Business Opportunities

You can find information about upcoming opportunities from:

  • Federal Business Opportunities
  • Advance Notices to Bidders and Invitations for Bids at businesses such as the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), minority contract associations, and construction industry associations.
  • Small Business Conferences
  • Announcements of Business Opportunity Conferences, Trade Fairs and other federally attended or sponsored liaison meetings in your area
  • Corps of Engineers division, district and laboratory web sites

Central Contractor Registration

The Department of Defense (DoD) has established a Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to facilitate doing business with DoD activities. This database will act as a repository of information on all companies who are currently seeking to do business with DoD. To alleviate the potential for missed valuable business opportunities, it is MANDATORY that all vendors be registered under the CCR program. Those vendors who are not registered will not be awarded DoD contracts. The website is http://www.ccr.gov/.

To register in the CCR Program database, there are several options listed below:

If you are EDI-capable through a DoD-certified Value-Added Network (VAN), you can register using an 838 (Trading Partner Profile) transaction set (this is the recommended route for EDI-capable companies and is the quickest and easiest method).

You can register on-line by completing an electronic questionnaire at the CCR Web site.

Registration applications and information packets may be obtained by calling the DoD CCR Assistance Center. The address and telephone number are listed below:

CCR Assistance Center
74 Washington Avenue, N. Suite 7
Battle Creek, MI 49017-3084
Ph: 1-888-227-2423
Fax: 616-961-7243

Small Business Offices

The Small Business Office at Headquarters leads and supervises the Corps relations with small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, service disabled veteran owned small businesses (SDVOSB’s), HUBZone businesses, woman-owned businesses and Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Minority Institutions.

If you have a small or small disadvantaged business the Small Business Office at the District or Center located nearest you can be a great resource for finding current and future solicitations.

Do you have a Small or Small Disadvantaged Business?

In order to certify itself as a small disadvantaged business, 8(a) or HUBZone firm must now be certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Information on these certification requirements is accessible at the Small Business Administration website. http://www.sba.gov/
