Director, National Contracting Organization
 
Mr. Kim Denver is the Director, National Contracting Organization U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The USACE National Contracting Organization is an integrated network of contracting offices that spans the globe - 57 sites in the Continental United States and Hawaii, Alaska, Korea, Japan, Germany, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq. These offices employ over 1200 contract specialists, contracting officers and supporting personnel who award contracts and serve as advisors to decision-makers and play a critical role in the planning and execution of Corps' projects. The Organization's mission is to represent the Corps in all contractual matters, and to provide world class contracting support to ensure successful execution of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers mission requirements.

Prior to joining the Army Corps of Engineers Mr. Denver was the Director of the Acquisition Center for the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) and served as the Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting (PARC). As PARC, Mr. Denver managed and executed the contracting functions in support of PEO STRI, served as the principal contracting advisor to the PEO, provided organizational contracting and business solutions, ensured the development of streamlined standard contracting processes and procedures, and served as a business liaison between PEO STRI and Industry/Academia.

Mr. Denver joined the Department of the Army in 1989 as a centrally managed Army Materiel Command intern at Pine Bluff Arsenal in Arkansas. He accepted a contract specialist position with PEO STRI in 1993. Mr. Denver has been a team leader, a Deputy Director of Contracts, and Director of Contracts prior to becoming the Acquisition Center Director/PARC.

Mr. Denver received his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Texas San Antonio in 1988 and a Masters in Business Administration in1996 from the University of Central Florida. Mr. Denver is DAWIA certified at Level III for Contracting and Acquisition and at Level III for Program Management.
