USGS Booth
FOR Rivers Festival
February 19-20, 2000
Rex Sanders and Laura Torresan set up a USGS booth for the third year in a row at the annual Rivers Festival at Fort Mason in San Francisco. The Festival is put on by Friends of the River, the California statewide river conservation organization.

This is our booth... with Laura and her 11-month-old Mario. Click on the photo for an enlargement (78Kb).

Here are close-up shots of the posters displayed at our booth. Click on an image for an enlargement (at 52KB, 59KB, and 52KB, respectively).
This is our ever-popular "Current River Flows" poster. Using the USGS Real Time Stream Flow Web site (and others), we posted the current flows of some of the popular recreational rivers of the West Coast. We updated the info about twice daily. Click on the image for an enlargement (58KB).
This is the handout of USGS web site addresses that we highlighted at the booth this year. If you would like to see an enlargement and/or print it out, click on the image (20KB). The enlargement is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, so you'll need Acrobat Reader in order to open it. Reader may be downloaded for free from Adobe's web site.
