The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) measures a student’s developed verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities. It is designed to predict success in the first year of college and supplements the student’s secondary school record. SAT scores range from 200–800. According to the SAT publisher, scores tend to decline with higher participation rates. The participation rate for DoDDS Pacific schools (Guam, Japan, Korea, and Okinawa) is substantially higher than the nation.
