Introduction:
|
Following your hospitalization your doctor and discharge nurse will give you specific instructions concerning your recovery from a particular condition, disease or surgical procedure. Instructions will include activity restrictions, dosage and frequency of medications, signs (objective and can be measured by others such as fever, heart rate, blood pressure, etc.) and symptoms (subjective and cannot be detected by others such as fatigue, headache, pain, etc) you should expect and those you should be concerned about, care of the surgical incision, etc. For a quick reference, we are listing below post-hospitalization guidelines under different services and clinics such as neurosurgery, opthalmology, cardiology, etc., and how you may contact your doctor or nurse if you have questions, special needs or complications. These guidelines are quick references and are not intended as a substitute for your physician' or nurse's specific discharge instructions. If you do not find the information you were looking for please contact us immediately so that we may develop it and publish it as soon as possible.
