Environmental Monitoring and Data Quality Workshop scheduled for March   Archived

Mar. 27, 2007

The 2007 Department of Defense (DoD) Environmental Monitoring and Data Quality Workshop sponsored by the DoD Environmental Data Quality Workgroup (EDQW) and hosted by the Army is scheduled for March 26-30 at the Albuquerque Marriott in Albuquerque, N.M.

This is the fourth year that the Navy and Air Force will participate at the workshop under EDQW.  EDQW developed the workshop from the annual U.S. Army Corps of Engineers chemist's meetings as the Corps' environmental restoration chemical data quality management program was being shaped.   This year's workshop offers training on Monday, Tuesday and Friday with the technical sessions slated for Wednesday and Thursday, following the opening plenary session on Wednesday morning.

The training sessions will focus on four main areas:

·  DoD Quality Systems Manual - overview, appendices and prime; contractor use sessions;
·  Staged Electronic Data Deliverable (SEDD);
·  Data Quality Objectives to Method Quality Objectives;
·  Uniform Federal Policy Quality Assurance Project Plan for project managers.

There will also be an SEDD open forum on Friday.   Jan. 15 is the deadline for abstracts for the technical session.  Details on the conference site, registration and how to submit an abstract are covered at the Web site http://www.navylabs.navy.mil/DoDChemistmeeting.htm.
