The Nashville District Water Safety Task Force was formed in 1998 to focus on promoting water safety in an effort to reduce public accidents and fatalities at our lakes, locks and dams.  We can assist teachers in presenting water safety programs and provide safety materials to use in the classrooms.

In 1994, the  Headquarters U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Water Safety Products Advisory Committee was formed.  The intent of the committee is to identify life-threatening concerns associated with the water-based recreation and increase public awareness of safe practices through educational media.  One of our successes  is the award winning "Safe Passage"  video and teaching guide.  We value our nation's teachers and openly ask for your input and evaluations of our water safety products.
