Reopening the National Museum of American History
After a two-year renovation, the museum reopened to the public on Nov. 21, 2008 with a three-day festival. Take a peek inside the museum for a look at some of the festivities and get a glimpse of the new exhibitions and spaces that await your visit. Museum now open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every day except Dec. 25.

It's December 17th and the First Ladies exhibit isn't open and I was very unhappy as that has always been my favorite and I've been waiting 2.5 years to see it again. I know there are re-opening pains but things clearly aren't ready yet.

The "First Ladies at the Smithsonian" exhibition will open in December. Stay tuned.
