Financial Specialist1

Duties and Responsibilities: Incumbent works closely with TSA Headquarters Finance Office concerning budget and financial activities for the airport. Incumbent performs budget analysis, cost analysis and cost scheduling and estimating activities in order to monitor airport funding and ensure budget requirements are met. Provides financial management expertise and technical advice and guidance to Federal Security Director (FSD) management and Administrative Officer. Reviews cost performance reports and cost estimates prepared by TSA headquarters and analyze and evaluate the reports to track and validate airport funding.

Financial Specialist2

Duties and Responsibilities: Serves as a liaison concerning budget and financial management matters between the Federal Security Director (FSD) and the Transportation Security Administration headquarters. Works under the general direction of the Administrative Officer, Assistant Federal Security Director (AFSD), or other management official and assists in planning, directing, evaluating and integrating budget and financial activities within the airport environment. Serves as a source of information for FSD management on budget, time and attendance (T&A), leave, and/or pay as it relates to the budget process. Advises supervisor of unusual requirements or findings. Makes recommendations on budget and financial matters.
