The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Malaria Branch announces a great opportunity to serve as CDC's Resident Advisor for the President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) in Benin, West Africa. This two to four year assignment will support the implementation, scale-up, and evaluation of Benin's malaria control program, focusing on insecticide-treated nets, indoor residual spraying, case management and malaria in pregnancy. Implementation of the initiative will be closely coordinated with the National Malaria Control Program and national and international partners, including the non-governmental and private sectors.

CDC is looking for a senior-level Medical Officer and/or Epidemiologist with a strong background in monitoring and evaluation, program implementation and field epidemiology, and demonstrated diplomatic and communications skills in international and/or cross cultural settings. The position is intended for personnel in job series 601 and 602 at the GS-14 and 15 grade levels and Commissioned Corps Officers, 05 and 06 levels. French language proficiency is required.
