Lieutenant Colonel Robert B. Keyser Lieutenant Colonel (Promotable) Robert B. Keyser was Commander and District Engineer for the Philadelphia District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, from July 26, 1996 to July 24, 1998. Immediately prior to his Philadelphia assignment he was the assignment officer for engineer officers and chief of the Leader Development Branch at the U.S. Total Army Personnel Command in Alexandria, Va. A native of Cornwall, N.Y., LTC(P) Keyser is a 1978 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, where he received his bachelor of science degree. He also holds a master's degree in engineering from the University of Florida and is registered as a professional engineer in the State of Alabama. He is also a member of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. Commissioned a second lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers in June 1978, LTC(P) Keyser went on to graduate from the Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced Courses as well as the Air Command and Staff College. During his Army career he has served with the 588th Engineer Battalion at Folk Polk, La., the 2nd Engineer Battalion in Korea, and the 94th Engineer Battalion in Germany and Southwest Asia. He also was project officer for developing the Corps' partnering initiative in 1987 while serving as deputy area engineer for the Mobile District. Among his awards, LTC(P) Keyser wears the Meritorious Service Medal (with four oak leaf clusters), the Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal. |
