The Airport Technology Branch, AAR-410 is located in Bldg. 296 of the FAA Wm. J. Hughes Technical Center. The FAA Technical Center is the nation’s premier aviation research and development, and test and evaluation facility. The FAA Technical Center serves as the national scientific test base for the FAA. Located 10 miles northwest of Atlantic City, the FAA Technical Center consists of state-of-the art laboratories, test facilities, support facilities, and the Atlantic City International Airport (ACY).

Whether your visit is to the National Airport Pavement Test Facility, or to visit with the project personnel in the Airport Technology Research Programs, certain procedures must be followed. General Information provides information on hours of operation, obtaining temporary visitor passes and parking permits, as well as detailed information for clearances by foreign nationals.

If you are a contractor and expect to be performing work at the Technical Center, this brochure on Safety and Health Orientation for Contractors, was prepared by the Environmental and Safety Offices of the Technical Center. This pamphlet contains detailed information on security, emergency evacuation procedures, traffic and parking, safety compliance and mishap reporting, confined space entry, and chemical substances and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) policys.

Driving directions to the FAA Technical Center are provided and local area information if you are in need of hotel or air reservations.
