Begin these procedures 30 days before your termination date, but absolutely NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS prior to termination.
Your last day must be on a Thursday, as that is when Sandia’s pay period ends. (If there is an extenuating circumstance that will prevent you from leaving on a Thursday, please contact the SIP office well in advance.)
Remember that it is your responsibility to submit your correct termination date, so please double check to make sure everything is up-to-date at least two-weeks prior to your departure.
Failure to follow this process may result in a delayed exit paycheck.
Your final timecard must reflect the actual time worked on your last day. It must be a paper timecard signed by you and your manager, and faxed to the Payroll Office in New Mexico. DO NOT send it electronically. Your Office Management Assistant (OMA) can assist you in processing your final timecard.
Your final paycheck will be issued to you at Human Resources (911/210V) between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. on your last day.
Your badge must be turned in to the Badge Office (911) on your last day.
