CDC Disease Detectives Highlight Findings from Recent Investigations

WHAT: 55th Annual Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Conference
                       
WHO: The CDC Disease Detectives will present findings from recent investigations, including these:

  • outbreak of norovirus gastroenteritis among river rafters in the Grand Canyon,
  • outbreak of cryptosporidiosis associated with a recreational water spray park,
  • weight-loss attempts among obese adults
  • risk of tuberculosis among staff at a Nairobi hospital,
  • controlling a malaria outbreak in a tourist resort area in the Dominican Republic
