History of Boeblingen School:

Boeblingen Elementary/Middle School (BES) is located 15 kilometers southwest of Stuttgart, Germany. Part of the Bavaria District, along with Patch and Robinson Barracks Elementary Schools, BES feeds into Patch High School located in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, the site of the US Forces European Command.

BEMS is located on Panzerkaserne, an old German Army base built in the 1930's.The school was built as a barracks for Field Marshal Erwin Rommel's Panzer (tank) Division. He was the "Desert Fox," who fought against General Patton in North Africa. After the major drawdown of US forces begun in 1991, BES dropped from a population of about 550 students to 215. Our current population is about 532. For the School Year 2006-2007, we will be welcoming our middle school component. Our school will then house kindergarten through 8th graders. Though we are undergoing many changes, BEMS offers students an NCA accredited institution bent on providing a quality education.
