Headings List Types

The Headings List Types are derived from several authoritative lists or thesauri, whose short titles appear in the final column of the Headings List display.

Headings may appear that have been formulated for "in-process records" from thesauri or subject heading systems other than those listed below. These headings will not become part of the final catalog record. Information about these thesauri is available online in the MARC Code List for Relators, Sources, Description Conventions.
