    CM/ECF User Training

Users have two alternatives for learning how to use CM/ECF—scheduled instructor-led classes OR self-directed tutorials on the Internet.

      Instructor-Led Classes Internet Tutorials
WHEN are the classes presented? Scheduled with court on a day you and/or your staff are available. Can be taken at any time.
WHERE are they taught? Each court office has a PC training lab which provides the students with a “hands-on” experience with an instructor available to answer questions. Since the tutorials are accessed through the Internet, they can be completed at any location where the student has an Internet connection.
WHAT topics are covered? Instructor-led classes are tailored to individual users and cover the most pertinent topics to the beginning firm. Advanced level follow-up classes are also available upon request. The Internet Tutorial provides the information a new CM/ECF user needs to get started. Although very complete, the tutorial may not answer all questions a new user may have.

All students, regardless of the training method they choose, will be issued a login and password to the court’s CM/ECF training database and will complete a “Connectivity Certification” exercise. This allows them to practice their new skills before going into the “live” system. Call David Williams at (210) 472-6720 x226 or Tina Warren at (512) 916-5238 for more information.
