Visiting the Tri-Valley

Livermore is situated in the Livermore Valley, one of three valleys that make up the Tri-Valley area at the eastern edge of the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to Livermore, other Tri-Valley cities include Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, and Danville.

The weather in Livermore is dictated by an inland valley microclimate that is moderated by marine air from the San Francisco Bay. Winters are cold, with an average low of 36°F and an average high of 57°F. In contrast, summers are much warmer, with an average high of 89°F and an average low of 54°F. Temperatures in the summer occasionally rise up past 100°F during the day but then typically cool down at night with the arrival of the evening breezes.
