536 Kb RealVideo file. 08:36:39 UT. Imaged with Gen 2 image intensifier and PC-23-C video camera. FOV is around 55 degrees. This is a slow-motion view of a fairly bright meteor. We did not see this in person although three of us did see it on the TV while warming up in my shed. It brought shouts of joy as it capped off a very exciting night. Some 40 meteors in 46 minutes are observed on the tape indicating rates of several hundred per hour. What a show! My brother also captured this meteor from 20 km away from this observing location. A video from his camera will appear soon.
