In addition to its primary focus on systems engineering revitalization across the Department of Defense, Enterprise Development is responsible for and represents the DoD on a number of cross-cutting initiatives that impact defense acquisition, including:

• International Cooperation
• Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)
• Reduction in Total Ownership Costs (R-TOC)
• DoD Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC)
• Value Engineering
