As the Department of Defense (DoD) continues to manage the challenges that face our Nation we must continually look for innovative and effective means to support our customers. Strategic sourcing is a proven best practice and represents how the DoD will acquire goods and services moving forward. It is the collaborative and structured process of analyzing an organization's spend and using the information to make business decisions about acquiring commodities and services more effectively and efficiently.

Institutionalize Strategic Sourcing across the DoD Supply Chain to Better Meet Warfighter Needs and Maximize Taxpayer Value.

Mission

Lead the DoD Acquisition Enterprise to strategically source goods and services to maximize procurement spend dollars by facilitating deliberate planning and execution beginning with the use of Spend Analysis.
