MOM N' ME: CREATURES IN SHELLS (FULL)

This is a chance for all pre-schoolers (ages 3-5) and their moms (grandparents) to join us for fun nature activities in and around the Bay. Preregistration is required by calling (301) 238-2737, $6 a call or $8 drop in.January 7th- Creatures in Shells: Many creatures have shell homes, from horseshoe crabs to hermit crabs. We'll explore the world of shells and the creatures that inhabit them.

Wednesday, January 14th- Fossils Come learn how fossils are made, different time periods that fossils represent, and the information that fossils can tell us. We'll do a detailed study of trilobites and then try our own hand at making fossils.

WINTER WILD FOWL WALK

Waterfowl over-winter in the coves and nooks of the Rhode River. Search along our trails and learn how to identify our feathered fowl friends. Designed for beginning and intermediate birders. Limited to 15 people, preregistration is suggested, $4.00 per person. Bring binoculars if you have them, a limited number are available to borrow.
