Contract award data -- We report data pertaining to the award of contracts, purchase orders, task orders and delivery orders (and certain types of modifications to any of these contracts or orders) into the Federal Procurement Data System -- Next Generation (FPDS-NG) (external link). See the FPDS-NG website (external link) for more information as well as data on contract awards made by the Department of State and other federal agencies. Our embassies currently report the data into FPDS-NG by entering the data into the State/Federal Procurement Data System – Next Generation (S/FPDS-NG) (external link). S/FPDS-NG is a feeder system that takes the data entered manually online by embassy personnel and feeds it electronically into FPDS-NG. All other Department of State locations worldwide enter data directly into FPDS-NG electronically eother via the Internet or from their electronic contract writing systems.
Assessing contractor performance - For most larger actions, the Contracting Officer is required to evaluate and record the how well the contractor performed the contract. This evaluation is input into the NIH Past Performance website (external link). Contractors with negative performance evaluations are afforded the opportunity to comment on these evaluations using the NIH system. Interested contractors should contact their Contracting Officers for more information. Once the comment process is completed, the evaluation is made available to other federal government source selection officials using the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS) (external link).
