Two-Year Update on the Implementation Plan for the President's National Strategy for Pandemic Influenza Now Available

December 5, 2008 - The White House has released a two-year update on the status of action items listed in the Implementation Plan for the National Strategy for Pandemic Influenza.  The United States is the largest funder of international pandemic-preparedness activities, and has pledged or investment more than $900 million in disease-surveillance, the training of rapid-response personnel, the stockpiling of equipment and upgrades to laboratories since 2006.
