Environmental Review Documentation
FEMA's environmental and historic preservation staff use various resources during the compliance review of each grant application project. The National Emergency Management Information System (NEMIS) database is used by the environmental and historic preservation staff to document this compliance review for applications to the Public Assistance (PA) Program and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). NEMIS also captures other project information that is important for the approval of a grant application.
Record of Environmental Consideration (REC)
FEMA may supplement this information with a Record of Environmental Consideration (REC) that captures the Agency's environmental and historic preservation compliance review of FEMA-funded projects.
