CLINTON, Miss. -- Renters and primary residential homeowners in eligible counties – Bolivar, Washington, Warren and Wilkinson – who are unable to return to their undamaged dwellings because their homes are inaccessible due to flooding or other disaster-related problems may apply for up to two months housing assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Assistance is based on fair market value rates for rentals in the area.

Primary residential homeowners and renters whose homes have been damaged by this spring’s flooding are also eligible for help. They may receive up to two months assistance, which will also be determined by the fair market value rates for rentals.

For more information, call 1-800-621-FEMA. A rental database has been established to help displaced homeowners or renters find housing.
