SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today, that the Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) operating hours on Tuesday, January 6, 2008, will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

DRCs will resume their regular operations on Wednesday, January 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  On Saturdays, business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., until further notice.

Individuals who suffered property damage or who had personal property losses resulting from the September 21 – October 3, 2008 floods should call the toll-free number 1-800-621-3362, for the speech- or hearing-impaired the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585, before the registration deadline, which is January 15, 2009. Registration is also available online at www.disasterassistance.gov.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
