SAN JUAN, PR -- The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today, changes to the operating hours of the Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) and Helpline, during this week for the Holidays.

The DRCs and Helpline operating hours will be as follows:

Disaster Recovery Centers

Monday, Tuesday and Friday
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday (New Year's Eve)
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Thursday (New  Year's Day)
Closed

Saturday
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Helpline

Monday thru Wednesday (New Year's Eve) and Friday
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Thursday (New Year's Day)
Closed

Saturday
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Individuals who suffered property damage or who had personal property losses resulting from the September 21 - October 3, 2008 floods should call the toll-free number 1-800-621-3362, for the speech- or hearing-impaired the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585, before the registration deadline, which is January 15, 2009. Registration is also available online at www.fema.gov.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
