Many agencies offer listservs that regularly announce new funding opportunities and other items of interest. Some of these listservs are listed below:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture supports a Youth Development Research Forum listserv. To subscribe, send an email to 4hhq@csrees.usda.gov.
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools offers additional funding information through the PreventionED listserv. This listserv includes a newsletter, legislation, and information on grant opportunities available through other federal programs. Each month, Youth Initiatives Update brings you the latest information on new youth-related initiatives and resources. The National Clearinghouse for Children and Youth, a service of the Family and Youth Services Bureau at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, selects the postings from the Web sites of more than 100 national organizations and federal agencies. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services offers an eNetwork, your personal link to SAMHSA for the latest news about its grants, publications, campaigns, programs, statistics, and data reports. To receive information from SAMHSA, register at http://www.samhsa.gov/enetwork/ and click on “Join the Network.” The eNetwork is for anyone who wants to receive information about SAMHSA’s work in the substance abuse and mental health fields.
JUVJUST, the listserv of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), is a link to the latest juvenile justice information from OJJDP and the field.
