The College of Public and Community Service will automatically transfer 3 core competencies, equivalent to 9 credits, for AmeriCorps alumni who have successfully completed 1 year of service. These competencies can be applied toward any of our undergraduate degree programs. Students with significant prior learning may qualify for additional competencies on a case-by-case basis.

Additional information

As part of the University of Massachusetts public university system, CPCS offers a tuition that is affordable for most students. The College's mission statement is consonant with the values and direction of most AmeriCorps alumni. CPCS is a competency-based system; service learning is an integral part of the curriculum.
