Dennis Dodd's Take
|
You expected a bit of a letdown for Alabama after losing the SEC championship game. You didn't expect the Tide to be on Vicodin. For those of you not up on your prescription pharms, that's what the dentist gives you before he removes your wisdom teeth. Yeah, it felt about like that for Alabama after one of the most humiliating losses in the program's history. Full story | Freestyle: Freeman's Blog

Team Reports
|
Utah: The Utes, the first Mountain West Conference and non-Bowl Championship Series team invited to two BCS games, will face a much stiffer challenge in the Crimson Tide than they did when they beat up Big East champ and five-loss Pittsburgh 35-7 in the Fiesta Bowl in 2005. More
Alabama: No one expected Alabama to be this good this fast. The Tide came back from a 7-6 season in Year 1 under coach Nick Saban and got on a roll, running off 12 consecutive victories to climb from No. 24 in the first poll to a No. 1 ranking until the SEC championship game. More

OU Tooo
As an OU fan I don't care what happens with the BCS in a few days. Utah is undefeated and just took care of Alabama in SEC country. There really is no championship in college football. Just a bunch of teams running around on fields and then guys sitting in front of their computer picking a "champion." Since that's the system, how can Utah not be the champ? Post your thoughts!

Quotable

"I know where I'm voting us. I'm voting us No. 1. End of story. I don't know why they wouldn't deserve that consideration. Somebody has to explain to me why they wouldn't. There is only one undefeated team in the United States of America right now in Division I football, and it's these guys right here."
