When Hurricane Gustav threatened the Gulf Coast, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with its federal partners, stood ready to assist the state of Texas and provide equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency. The following is a short list of items and the quantities that were deployed to Texas to meet the needs of evacuees and threat of landfall in Texas:

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
