Hazard Assessment Tool

Tool Description

This easy-to-use Internet mapping application uses hazards-related data and supporting base data, such as parcels and roads, to give users a site-specific hazards assessment.

Users search for a specific location by address, owner name, or by clicking in the map. The tool then queries the hazards data to determine the hazards zones for the location. Query results include supporting information to put the hazards information in proper context. This functionality is available in template form and can be set up for any location with the required data and resources.

Sample Functions
  • Searches for a location by parcel, parcel number, address, or owner name
  • Identifies the potential hazard risk for a selected location using hazard planning data such as FEMA’s digital flood insurance rate maps
  • Provides a customized results report
