Jayne T. Woods receives David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award from the Missouri Bar

Assistant Attorney General Jayne T. Woods recently received a prestigious David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award from the Missouri Bar. The award was presented at an awards banquet during the Missouri Bar meeting in Kansas City on Sept. 19.

The David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Awards were created by the Missouri Bar Foundation to recognize outstanding achievement in appellate practice by young lawyer members of the Missouri Bar.

Ms. Woods is an attorney in the Criminal Division, where she is responsible for representing the state in felony criminal appeals before the Courts of Appeal and the Missouri Supreme Court. She joined the Attorney General's Office in 2005.

A Columbia native, Ms. Woods is a graduate of Truman State University and the University of Missouri, Columbia, School of Law.
