Missouri Supplemental Environmental Performance Projects
The Attorney General has adopted a policy aiming to enhance industries' environmental performance over and above the legal minimums established by environmental regulations. The policy provides that entities which violate environmental standards receive a reduction of monetary penalties they might otherwise be assessed if they adopt more responsible and sustainable methods of operation and pollution treatment.
