President Bush to Recognize Indianapolis Woman for Dedication to Volunteer Service |

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Vernice Williams upon arrival in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Thursday, July 14, 2005. Williams is a volunteer with a variety of community organizations including Indiana Black Expo and the 100 Men/St. Vincent Unity Development Center. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush has met with more than 400 individuals around the country, like Williams, since March 2002.
