"More than 500,000 senior citizens volunteer through Senior Corps, a network of programs that enables older Americans to meet the needs and challenges of their communities. Through the USA Freedom Corps and Senior Corps, older Americans are dedicating their time and energy to strengthening our Nation and serving a cause greater than themselves."

Find a Volunteer Opportunity
with the USA Freedom Corps Volunteer Network

Find a Volunteer OpportunityDuring his 2002 State of the Union address, President George W. Bush called upon every American to get involved in strengthening America's communities and sharing America's compassion around the world. He called on each of us to dedicate at least two years over the course of our lives to the service of others. He included all Americans because everyone can do something, and he created the USA Freedom Corps to help all Americans to answer his call.

The Volunteer Network, located at www.usafreedomcorps.gov, is the largest clearinghouse of volunteer opportunities ever created.  Americans interested in finding opportunities to serve can search the database by area of interest and geographic location. Since the Volunteer Network was created by USA Freedom Corps in 2002, over one million volunteer opportunity searches have been completed.
